Bella’s passing has left a hole that I cant describe. It’s unimaginable. There’s no going back. What’s left then is going forward.
I go forward by asking “what would Bella want?”
Bella wanted nothing more than everyone being treated with love and respect, regardless of who they were, what their beliefs were, or what challenges life presented to them. She always went out of her way to help someone in need.
Bella was amazed at what she was able to accomplish in her life. In many ways it’s unpredictable, but ultimately it was a function of understanding, support, care and patience.
I hope you join us so that we can make this same difference for neruodivergent children throughout the world.

21 years ago I became a mother to a son with a rare disability that opened my eyes to how our world wasn’t set up to serve, honor, or welcome people living with a disability. 20+ surgeries, hundreds of hours of therapies later when my son was 19 he was diagnosed autistic/ADHD.
21 years ago I also became Bella’s godmother. My life has been deeply impacted by both my son and Bella’s individual and shared experiences.
Bella’s understanding of her neurodiversity was a kind of re-birth for her. Her stars aligned and her confidence grew. She claimed who she was and lived her life honestly, to the fullest.
Bella’s nor my son’s paths have been easy or all sunshine and rainbows. Constant support from home, school and professionals was/is needed. Adjustments to medications and therapies occur regularly.
We know this kind of support is not readily available to many families today in the U.S, and around the world. The path to the right diagnosis and then the path to higher education for neurodiverse families can be complicated or even nonexistent. The Bella Organization is committed to neurodiversity being diagnosed as early as possible, and that the support and resources needed are shared with families all the way past higher education. Allowing our neurodiverse community to make your mark in this world. Being Expressed Living Life Authentically.
